We created this service with our highly regarded and experienced sister organisation, Manchester Occupational Therapy Services (MOTS), a long-established independent occupational therapy practice for children in Stockport and Greater Manchester.
LOTS boasts a team of experienced, highly trained and registered Occupational Therapists. All our occupational therapists and OT assistants are proud to provide high-quality, holistic services that focus on maximising every child’s potential. We can provide our occupational therapy services in a range of environments including our clinic, in schools, and in the young person’s own home.
Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services provides a wide variety of OT services to schools in and around the Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley areas. This includes assessments, skill-specific groups, intervention sessions, training packages or tailored packages which can encompass all of these areas and be customised to your school’s individual needs as part of a Service Level Agreement.
We can accept Pupil Premium and LAC funding towards Occupational Therapy assessments and support.
Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services can also support Liverpool Consortia and collaborate with Consortia leads and SENCo’s to establish a preferred way of working.
Our Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services team possess the skills, knowledge, and experience to work with you, and guide you to create an offer bespoke to your consortia needs and budget. Get in touch for further details on this or any of our services.
As a service, we can also provide school-funded assessments and treatment separately to whole consortia support where necessary.
We can offer Service level agreements, whereby our services will be tailored to your education setting across the academic year. This time can be used to suit your setting. Several different models have proved successful, dependent on the need. These packages can encompass assessment, intervention, groups and training. To discuss how we can help your school, please contact us.
We can provide individual assessments to students who have difficulties with aspects of their learning. This could be struggles with attention, regulation, motor skills, writing skills or posture. Following this assessment, we produce a detailed report with recommendations to optimise the student’s learning experience. If the report determines that the child would benefit from Occupational Therapy intervention, Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services can also provide this, as appropriate.
We can contribute to setting up skill-specific groups within schools. This can allow children with similar difficulties to access the targeted support they need to make progress, whilst benefitting from the social aspects of working as part of a group.

We can take private referrals at Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services. This means you can refer to us directly as a parent or carer, avoiding delays of going through your GP or paediatrician. We screen referrals to match our clients to the most appropriate therapist, based on their skills and experience.
Assessments and therapy can take place at home, in school, or at our clinic. Alternatively, we can provide the following shorter assessments:
Once your child has been assessed, you will be provided with a detailed report. The report will outline details of their assessment outcomes, and recommendations corresponding to their individual needs. The recommendations will aim to support the child in their specific areas of difficulty and optimise their functioning. If recommended that your child will benefit from Occupational Therapy intervention, Liverpool Occupational Therapy Services can also provide this, as appropriate.
If it is considered more appropriate for your child to be assessed by a different professional, we will signpost you to these services.
