PAEDIATRIC TREATMENTS AT MANCHESTER OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES

Following your child’s assessment if it is recommended that they would benefit from treatment we are able to offer this on a flexible basis. All treatment is carried out by a qualified Paediatric Occupational Therapist.

In conjunction with you and your child, Manchester Occupational Therapy Services will devise your child’s personalised Occupational Therapy goals. Your child will work towards achieving these goals within a specified time. The treatment that your child receives will be based around these goals.

Treatment sessions are usually an hour. Following a session you will be provided with an Occupational Therapy Programme to enable you to support your child at home to reach their maximum potential.

Treatment goals can be developed in the following areas:

  • Self Care Skills

  • Fine Motor Skills

  • Visual Perceptual Skills

  • Handwriting Skills

  • Processing Skills

  • Organizational Skills

  • Concentration and Attention Skills
