The Speed Up! programme is a handwriting programme designed to improve different aspects of writing such as speed and legibility. The programme combines pencil and paper tasks, as well as other multisensory activities in order to improve the skills needed for handwriting.

The programme is aimed at children aged between 8-13 years old who experience difficulties with handwriting and aims to improve writing speed, fluidity, legibility and writing size.

The programme is delivered once a week over 8 weeks, with each session lasting one hour. The programme is run by our Occupational Therapy Assistant,  Ashleigh Brandreth. The sessions can be delivered on a 1:1 basis at our clinic or in your home. They can also be done in a school setting for up to 6 children per group who all have similar writing abilities.
