PRIVATE REFERRALS
We are able to take private referrals at Manchester Occupational Therapy services, this means you can refer to us directly as a parent or carer, without going through your GP. We screen referrals in order to allocate to the most appropriate therapist, based on their skills and experience.
If your child has not had an assessment in the last 6 months, we would recommend a full assessment be completed in order to identify your child’s needs to inform their goals and programmes. This assessment and therapy can take place at home, in school or at our clinic.
In the case that it is more appropriate that your child be assessed by a different professional, we will signpost you to these services.

What Our Clients Say
“I didn’t truly understand the sensory side of my son but after Megan explained it has become the key to unpicking what was going on with him and therefore the key to helping him help himself. I can’t thank you enough”
We have worked with so many specialists since my son was born and I can honestly say Anna has been one of the most supportive and professional people we have met. We could tell she cared deeply about the wellbeing of my son and our family and that she really wanted to help. Anna listened and explained things to us in a way we could understand and gave solutions to our every issue. We are still in touch with Anna and enjoy sharing my son’s mile stones with her. We are truly grateful, thank you to Anna and Manchester Occupational Therapy for bringing out the best in our son and for helping rebuild our relationships.
Zoom isn’t just for business!
Working away from the office has been the norm for me, the real change being how our son’s physical and occupational therapy (OT) is provided. Both of which used to take place in his school environment, requiring very little input from us.
Both his specialists have adapted to the new Zoom way of working, allowing the sessions to continue at home. I was unsure how successful this new way of delivering the sessions would be.
OT is currently focused on the academic side. He shares his screen and his OT guides him through the session. We have seen significant improvements in both programs he uses, Clicker and Five Finger Typing and he is enjoying the tech!
Physio is now a session delivered from her living room floor to ours – transferring skills along the way!
As it stands this is a win-win for us!
